The NCAF works closely with Community Action Agencies (CAAs) to help amplify and enhance their work in local communities throughout the country, promoting self-sufficiency and sustainable poverty reduction.
Providing research, data and training, as well as policy, legal and legislative support, the NCAF works on behalf of CAAs, which provide services to more than a quarter of all Americans living in poverty and to several million more families with incomes only slightly higher than the poverty threshold every year.
