Budget & Appropriations
In 2008 the House Labor, HHS Subcommittee approved a $46 million increase to bring the program to a total of $700 million for FY 2009, growing the CSBG program while maintaining fiscal responsibility. This year, in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the CSBG program was given an additional $1 billion, and funding is expected to remain level at $700 million for fiscal year 2010. This tremendous boost in funds is a great opportunity to expand CSBG programs and services.
