COMMUNITY ACTION HALL OF FAME

About the Community Action Hall of Fame

The Community Action Hall of Fame honors retired leaders whose vision, dedication, and impact have strengthened and inspired the Community Action movement. Inductees are nominated by their state’s Community Action association and supported by local Community Action Agencies, ensuring that each honoree reflects the values and achievements of the network they served. From legislative champions to grassroots innovators, these leaders have left a lasting legacy that continues to shape the fight against poverty.

Nomination Process: The nomination process for the 2026 class is not yet open. Each state, led by its Community Action association, may submit one nominee who is retired and supported by Community Action Agencies in that state. Nominations include a one‑page description highlighting the individual’s contributions and impact. We encourage states to begin considering outstanding individuals whose leadership and service deserve recognition.
